About Rejected Deposits

If your deposit was returned to your bank account, there could be several reasons:

  • Unlinked Bank Account: The most common reason for a returned deposit is that your bank account is not linked and verified with your AmberApp account.

  • Old Deposit Details Used: If you sent your deposit to an outdated AmberApp BSB or account number, the payment will be automatically returned to your bank. You can always find your current deposit details in the app.

  • Bank Deposit Limits: Some banks impose a monthly deposit limit of $10,000 for transactions involving bitcoin exchanges. It’s advisable to check with your bank regarding any such restrictions.

  • Account Number Prefix Issues: Certain banks may apply a prefix to your account number that is not visible to you but is necessary for processing your deposit. If this is applicable, we may need to make a manual adjustment to your linked account.

To fix these, make sure your bank account is linked and verified, confirm you are using your current deposit details, check your bank’s limits, and contact support if the issue continues.
