Can teens use AmberApp?

Learn the age rules and steps to onboard a minor with parental permission.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Ages 13–15 (Parental Consent Required)

If you are 13–15 years old, you can open an AmberApp account with verified parental or guardian consent. Both you and your parent/guardian must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. This ensures we meet legal requirements and protect younger clients.

Ages 16+

If you are 16 years or older, you can sign up independently using the AmberApp.

Is a minor’s account different from a regular account? No — once the account is set up and verified, a minor’s account functions the same as any AmberApp account.

How to open an account for a minor (13–15)

Before parents can open a minor’s account, they must first sign up and verify their own identity.

Step 1: Apply for a minor account

To start, gather and submit the following information in our Parental Consent Form:

  • Parent’s full name and AmberApp email

  • Minor’s full name, email (for their account), mobile number, date of birth, and residential address

  • Proof of guardianship (e.g., birth certificate)

  • Consent declaration agreeing to the minor’s use of AmberApp

Step 2: Log in to Your Account

Once the form is approved, we will create the minor’s account and send login instructions.
