ROI Explained
ROI, or Return on Investment, is a financial metric used to evaluate the profitability of an investment. On your AmberApp dashboard, you’ll find an ROI indicator displaying your return in both dollars and percentages.
Why Monitor Your ROI? Tracking your ROI allows you to see how well your investments are standing up against the decline of fiat currencies. As traditional money faces inflation and instability, understanding your returns in the context of bitcoin can help you make informed decisions about your financial strategy.
How Your ROI is Calculated
Your ROI is calculated based on your bitcoin trades over the lifetime of your account. Here’s how it works:
Dollar ROI: This figure represents your total profit or loss from Bitcoin trades expressed in dollar terms. It is calculated by subtracting the total cost of your investment from the current value of your investment
Percentage ROI: This percentage shows your return relative to your total investment. It is calculated by dividing your Dollar ROI by the total cost of your investment and then multiplying by 100.
A higher ROI indicates a more successful investment because it signifies a greater return on your initial capital.
